Most Christians are familiar with the rites of Baptism and Communion, but many have only a vague notion, if any, of the significance of each ceremony. Some of us may go through the motions of these important rituals, or even feel uncomfortable with the notion of observing religious rituals at all. But these sacraments are important symbols of the Christian faith, and are special moments in the life of the believer and the church.
