Jesus' first miracle, changing water into wine at the wedding in Cana, is one of his best known and probably one of his most controversial. Many have interpreted the account to fit their own agenda, whether aiming to permit a lifestyle of drunkenness or changing the story to prohibit alcohol entirely. But what many gloss over in either shallow reading is the old-Testament imagery of wine as a sign of provision, blessing & the joy of salvation. Join us as Pastor Reggie Sanchez explores the theme of wine throughout scripture, and shows that Jesus' first sign, much more than a commentary on the use of alcohol, is a wonderful foreshadowing of our ultimate satisfaction in Christ.
