Abraham had two sons, Ishmael and Isaac. But the two sons were far from equal, as Genesis 21 shows. Isaac was the son of promise, the one who would inherit all the great blessings God had promised Abraham. And Ishmael, manifesting the seed of the serpent as predicted in Genesis 3, hated him for it. Their complex relationship, more than just an interesting story, is interpreted in the New Testament as representing two spiritual realities: the slavery of self-sufficiency, and the freedom and blessing of faith in Jesus Christ. Join us as Pastor Reggie Sanchez explores the relationship between the two sons, the meaning of their lives and roles, and the great blessing of living as believers in Jesus, the true children of Abraham through the promise.
